DAY 01 : Arrival at Delhi
Arrive in Delhi and after a traditional 'Swagat' (Welcome)
our representative will meet & assist you at the airport and
to your hotel for check in. Overnight in Delhi.
DAY 02 : Delhi
Take a guided tour of Delhi, beginning with a morning
sightseeing trip to Old Delhi and followed by visits to the
Red Fort, India's largest mosque - Jama Masjid, and the
Gandhi Memorial at Raj Ghat. Afternoon tour includes visits
to India Gate, President's House, Humayans Tomb, Lotus
Temple and Qutab Minar. Overnight in Delhi.
DAY 03 : Delhi / Jaipur (260 km / 6 hrs.)
Depart for Jaipur, the Pink City, built in 1727 by
Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh-II. Leisurely evening and overnight
in Jaipur.
DAY 04 : Jaipur
In the morning take the 11 km drive to Amber, the capital of
the gallant Rajputs from 1037 to 1728 AD. Ascend the Fort on
Elephant back and visit the Palace. Later visit the City
Palace, Birla Temple, Jantar Mantar Observatory and the
Palace of Winds. Tonight take an evening excursion to Chokhi
Dhani complex, an ethnic village resort located at a
distance 15 km from Jaipur. Evenings at Chokhi Dhani are
very special. A Rajasthani village atmosphere is recreated
on the sprawling grounds and includes entertainment by folk
dancers and musicians. Guests can move around freely and
enjoy the evening. Overnight stay in Jaipur.
DAY 05 : Jaipur / Agra (260 km / 6 hrs.)
Day begins with an early breakfast. Then drive down to Agra. En route
visit Fatehpur Sikri, a masterpiece in sandstone with the
stunning elegance of its palaces and courts. Tonight enjoy a
leisurely evening and overnight stay in Agra.
DAY 06 : Agra
Agra, the capital of India under the great Mughals and home
to Taj Mahal, has always fascinated Indians and foreigners
alike. Most of Agra is on the west bank of river Yamuna,
with the Agra Fort and the Taj at its nucleus. The Taj Mahal
is quite simply one of mankind's most remarkable creations.
Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sight of the
rising sun over the dome of the magnificent Taj Mahal. The
changing colours of the marble of the Taj as the sun rises
are a sight unequalled anywhere. Later visit Agra Fort.
Spend this evening at leisure and overnight at Agra.
DAY 07 : Agra / Jhansi / (by train) / Orchha / Khajuraho
(160 km / 4 hrs)
after breakfast depart for railway station to board train
for Jhansi. Later on leave for Khajuraho via Orchha.
DAY 08 : Khajuraho / Varanasi (by air)
Early morning sightseeing trip, covering temples built
between 950 and 1050 AD by the mighty warrior kings of the
Chandela dynasty, in a truly inspired burst of creativity.
Only 22 temples survive of the 85 originally built. In fact,
the Matangeshwara temple is still used for worship today,
continuing an unbroken 1000 year tradition. Later transfer
to airport to board afternoon flight for Varanasi. Visit to
the Ganges for evening Arati. Overnight in Varanasi.
DAY 09 : Varanasi
Early morning boat ride on the River Ganges. We rise before
dawn and step onto boat as the wizened old boatman casts
off, and wait on the river for the daily miracle to unfold.
Just then, as if having waited for the audience to settle
reverently in their assigned places, the Sun God appears
triumphantly over the horizon. The sound of conches and
temple bells rent the delicate pink fabric of dawn. The
formerly hushed murmuring of ancient Sanskrit Shlokas, now
rises, in one voice, to a crescendo of unparalleled
devoutness and joy. Return to your hotel for breakfast. Next
we leave for Sarnath at a distance of 12 Kms from Varanasi,
where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon after
Enlightenment. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in
Varanasi.
DAY 10 : Varanasi - Kathmandu (by Air)
Morning transfer to the airport for International flight for
Kathmandu, Capital of Nepal, situated on the southern slopes
of the mighty Himalayas. Rest of the day of leisure.
Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 11 : Kathmandu
After breakfast full day sightseeing covering Pashupatinath
Temple (the most sacred Hindu shrine and one of the most
important sites in the world for Shiva worshippers) followed
by Boudhnath Stupa, (the largest Stupa in the valley, it
looms 36 meters tall and presents one of the most
fascinating specimens of Stupa design) Next we visit
Bhaktapur, the city of devotees situated at an altitude of
1401m, which reminds one of a conch shell. Visit to Patan
City known as Lalitpur, the city of fine arts and beauty.
Next visit Swambhunath Stupa, which watches over the valley
from the top of a hillock on its western side. The huge
Stupa is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Nepal and its
establishment is linked to the creation of Kathmandu valley
out of a primordial lake. Kathmandu is also famous for its
night life, scattered with many luxury casinos. Overnight in
Kathmandu.
DAY 11 : Kathmandu / Pokhra (230 km / 5 ½
Hrs.)
Morning drive to Pokhra, known as the valley city of Nepal,
located 200 Kms from Kathmandu. It's a blend of rich
farmland, forested hills and half a dozen lakes. Overnight
in Pokhra.
DAY 12 : Pokhra
After breakfast enjoy a half day sightseeing tour of Pokhra
valley, the 124 square km spectacle at an average altitude
of 900m. It's cut by the Seti Gandaki River, one of the
seven Gandaki Rivers that bisects the central hills. The
excellent soils make the valley a verdant nursery with the
widest assortment of flowers. From here one can view
Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchhare peaks. Pokhra is a
wonderful, relaxing place. Overnight in Pokhra.
DAY 13 : Pokhra / Chitwan (230 km / 6 Hrs.)Drive to
Royal Chitwan National Park, one of Nepal's largest forest
regions with a wide range of wildlife. On arrival we assist
you to check in at your Hotel. Overnight at Chitwan.
DAY 14 : Chitwan / Nagarkot (265 km / 6 hrs.)
Early morning jungle safari to catch a glimpse of the one
horned Rhinoceros, several species of Deer, Sloth Bear,
Leopards, Wild Boar, Fresh Water Dolphins, Crocodiles and
about 350 species of birds, and the magnificent Bengal
Tiger. After breakfast we drive down to Nagarkot, a popular
hill station situated east of Kathmandu at an altitude of
2175 m. above sea level. The panorama of the major peaks of
eastern Nepal Himalayas including Mt. Everest can be seen
from here. On arrival we assist you to check in at your
Hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 15 : Nagarkot / Kathmandu (35 km / 1 hrs.)
Early morning visit to Sunrise Point. After breakfast we
drive down to Kathmandu and depart.
