Trivandrum to Kovalam
Our gateway to Kerala is Trivandrum International Airport/Railway station where on arrival of the visitors, representatives or Kerala Tour Operators take the ownership of making it a comfortable holiday. Visitors are sent to The Leela Kempinski – resort at Kovalam for stay. Kovalam is a scenic beach with golden sand and green coconut trees dotting the view.
You then relax at garden view rooms and enjoy the beach for rest of the day. So starts a memorable south India Tour.
Kovalam to Trivandrum and back
Second day of tour commences with refreshing breakfast at resort followed by sightseeing and city tour of Trivandrum. Places of interest include Horse Palace, Padmananhaswamy temple, Zoo, Napier Museum and the Srichitra Art Gallery. After sightseeing, visitors will be sent back to hotel for lunch. Evening will be free for enjoying the beach followed by night stay at the resort.
South Indian dinner will be served at the hotel. Note that the mentioned spots are closed on Mondays.
Visitors move to Alleppey on this day. Breakfast is served in hotel before checking out. A traditional houseboat welcomes the visitors upon arrival. For the rest of day they cruise in the backwaters exploring Venice of East. Night accommodation is arranged on the houseboat, rooms are equipped with air conditioning.
Fishing activity and small fun activities are arranged on the houseboat. What you catch can be given to the cook on board for a delicious fish curry.
Alleppey to Kumarakom
After checking out visitors make their way to Kumarakom. Breakfast is served on boat. On arrival visitors check in at spa amidst backwaters. This is followed by a relaxed afternoon and overnight stay there.
Back to Kumarakom
This day is kept free for the visitors to relax. The relaxation will be followed by a night stay at the resort.
Kumarakom to Cochin
Visitors take a one and half-hours drive from Kumarakom to Cochin after breakfast. At Cochin they check in at the hotel and rest for the day.
Evening is kept free for you to spend it at your leisure. You can go for shopping in the nearby streets.
We would start to explore Cochin after lunch. We will visit the oldest church in India, St Francis Church.
You would watch the Portuguese houses dating back five centuries, strange fishing practices, 16th century Synagogue, Jew Town and Mattancherry Palace. The palace houses some of India’s best murals. The visitors can stop to shop in between. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
After breakfast visitors are assembled and taken back to the airport for their respective flights back home. The representatives ensure this part. This ends a memorable south India tour
