Block 1 has 25 rooms in its structure followed by Block 2 which also has 25 rooms in its structure, similar to the first Block. Then there is the Round Block and is the hot favorite with the clients most of whom are old timers to Ashoka and are regular visitors to the place. The Round Block has a very loyal following indeed because of its curious structure and awesome architecture, which is a high light. The Round block is spiral inside and is the only structure in India to have this architecture. Every two steps you climb will bring you to a room. The rooms are built into a spiral and each room is slightly higher than the other is. The round block has 49 double rooms with balconies attached to them.

Cottages:

Madras Hotel Ashoka also has cottages built in as additional features. Very similar to the cottages in Palm Grove, the Ashoka cottages also project a feeling of comfort and well being. As you enter the cottage there is a sit out where you can entertain the visitors without any disturbance. Next, you come to the living room which has a dining block also and then the bedroom. The bedroom has a double bed and is clubbed with a larger dining as a combination. You can enjoy a peaceful meal with your family without any disturbance. The bedroom leads to a dressing room, which has an attached bathroom to it. The bath also has a sunken tub as an added feature. 

Flats: 

Ashoka also has flats in its complex for an extended stay. These flats are beautiful and you will find it very easy to settle in directly without any difficulty. There are totally four flats, one flat per floor. The flats have two bathrooms. If you are visiting Chennai with another family and need to stay together whilst maintaining your privacy, the flats at Ashoka are just what the doctor orders. You can seal off a section of the flat to avail of two small flats instead of one big flat, with a single bath each. These flats are air-conditioned.

The cottages and flats also have the 24-hour check out time feature as in the blocks.In a summary, 60% of the rooms in Ashoka are air-conditioned with 24-hour check out time facility.

ABHINANDHAN 

It can seat 140 people at a time and serves both North and South Indian cuisine.

Abhinandhan is a perfect place to spend an evening with friends and family. Lunch usually carries special features in the sense you will be pampered and you might find it difficult to actually zero in on a dish from the various delicacies outlined in the menu. Sumptuous is what would come to your mind.

SHEETAL ICE CREAM PARLOUR

Next to Abhinandhan, you will find an Ice Cream parlour cum Chat shop called Sheetal.

Sheetal is an outdoor place with colorful umbrellas adding life to the ambience. You can taste different flavors of Ice Creams and sample mouth-watering chaats at Sheetal. Sheetal is for the out door people who like to have an evening of fun.

There is also a permit room (bar) near the mini conference halls where you can sample some of the finest brands of liquor. 

ARIHANT is a conference hall which can accommodate a hundred people. Arihant is good for holding press conferences, parties, meetings, corporate conferences and the likes. At the back of the reception block, you will find two mini conference halls for smaller programs. 

VARDHAMAN, which is again a conference hall that can hold 70 people at a time. There are three other mini conference halls for smaller functions in the Abhinandhan block. All the conference halls in the Abhinandhan block are air-conditioned. 
Ashoka has a Lawn, which can hold 300 people. Parties and outdoor conferences and functions can be conducted on the lawn without a problem.
There is also a Party Hut, which lends a unique feel and life to any party that might be conducted there. The Party Hut can hold a strong crowd of 200 people at a time. 
The Madras Hotel Ashoka has facilities and features that will make things very easy for you. As in Palm Grove, you will find a laundry, a doctor on call, locker facilities, travel desk, and a foreign exchange desk.
