Hokke Hotels Ltd. at Rajgir in the state
of Bihar. It is a 110 km drive from
state capital, Patna and was primarily
built to target Buddhist tourists from
Japan. However, today it caters to
Buddhist tourist from all over the world
with Rajgir becoming one of the key
centres of Buddhist circuit. The hotel
is built in Janpanese style and is
complete with amenities for Buddhist
tourists , including a prayer hall,
public baths and Japanese cuisine served
at the restaurant.
Rooms
The Hotel has 26 rooms consisting of 20
Japanese style rooms, 5 Western style
rooms and 1 Western Suite. The Japanese
rooms are of two types - 17 rooms are
twin accommodation and 3 rooms have 5
beds each. The Japanese style rooms are
furnished exquisitely with teak wood
flooring, Japanese style furniture and
exotic lampshades to create an ethnic
Japanese ambience. Each room unit has an
area of 22.5 sqm and balcony of 3.8 sqm.
It may be noted that the Western suite
and five bed Japanese rooms comprise two
room unit each.
