Jammu and Kashmir is said to be the heaven on this earth. Beautiful snow capped mountains, gardens, lakes, temples make it perfect destinations for tourists. Off late this place has developed as a centre for the adventure sports in India. The state has lot to offer to its adventure loving visitors, like trekking, mountaineering, skiing, paragliding & parasailing and hot-air ballooning. Jammu, Gulmarg, Sanasar and Sonmarg are few places where these activities are carried out. The Gulmarg skiing club offers training for the beginners as well as races for the professionals. The vast mountains-range provide ample opportunities for the trekking-lovers. Planning is going on to develop the state as a center for adventure sports in India.
